HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS INNOVATION

1. Protection against damage from impurities in the oil

  • Long-term experience with repairs of high-pressure hydraulic cylinders for lifting and assembly shows that the majority of repairs are associated with dirty oil in the cylinder, which causes scratching of the internal sealing surfaces of the cylinder and subsequent leakage.
  • In lifting and assembly cylinders, which are usually transported to the workplace in a disconnected state, i.e. the cylinder is disconnected from the hose, dirt enters the hydraulic system mainly through dirty quick couplings, and numerous cases show that this cannot be completely prevented in practice.
  • Therefore, KGF HYDRAULIC has developed a new effective system that prevents coarser impurities in the oil from getting between the guide and sealing surfaces of the cylinder and piston and thus preventing their damage. This measure significantly increases the reliability and service life of the cylinders. This protection can be used for multi-purpose cylinders, double-acting cylinders, cylinders with a lock nut, cylinders with a through hole and special cylinders. Cylinders with this modification have the additional designation "S", e.g. U25-100S.

2. Protection of single-acting cylinders against corrosion of the inner surface

  • Damage to the internal sealing surfaces of the cylinder can also occur due to corrosion. This occurs especially in cylinders used outdoors and exposed to adverse weather conditions.
  • For this purpose, the cylinders can be provided with an inner surface that resists corrosion and at the same time has high hardness, making it more resistant to mechanical damage.

Cylinders with this modification have the suffix "H", e.g. P25-12H.

3. New range of shortened cylinders for tough outdoor conditions

  • Cylinders were developed for harsh outdoor conditions, where the hydraulic set is frequently moved and disconnected and the cylinders are exposed to weather conditions, and the following parameters were monitored:

- the smallest possible height and weight for a given load capacity and stroke while maintaining "full lateral load capacity"

- resistance to impurities in the oil and resistance of the inner surface to corrosion according to points 1 and 2

  • These cylinders are labeled as short cylinders with an additional designation, e.g. K50-100HS.
  • A comparison of the size of the K50-100HS cylinder (right) with the classic multi-purpose cylinder U50-100 (left) is shown in the picture - both cylinders have the same load capacity and stroke.
